Why a Small Blog Still Matters
Most online spaces are built around feeds. They are fast, useful, and usually a little too loud.
A small blog works differently. It gives thoughts a stable address. It lets old notes become useful again. It gives projects a memory.
Own the surface
The most practical reason to keep a personal site is control. The domain, the archive, the layout, and the tone can all belong to you.
That does not mean everything needs to be handmade. It means the important parts should be portable and understandable.
Keep it maintainable
The right blog system should feel boring in the best way. Markdown files, simple deployment, readable styles, and no database until there is a real need for one.
The site can grow later. The first job is to make writing feel easy.
